In my every day comings and goings, I find that I tend to focus on the big picture (with my habit of multitaskinating it’s often a necessity). But there’s something about having my camera in hand that makes me stop and notice the little things. I often use a wide aperture when shooting, bringing my subject into focus and letting everything else in the world fall away into a soft blur. I saw this little guy on one of our adventures this weekend and found myself completely distracted by his hovering overhead. I followed the him (instead of the fencing match I should have been watching) determined to document his flight before he zoomed away.
I challenge you today to simply pause. If only for a moment, let everything else fall out of focus and cherish your small joy before it flits away 🙂
